Eggishorn via Ferrata
Conquering steep passages, crossing a three-rope bridge, riding a flying fox - all with a breathtaking view! Level of difficulty K2-K3, easy to medium (no overhanging rocks). Less experienced climbers may also walk the via ferrata. However, hikers need to be in good physical condition and have a good head for heights.
Steep sections are defused by robust metal steps and less difficult traverses and subsections are also secured by wire ropes or handrails. You should give yourself two or three hours to walk the route. Provided you are properly prepared and take the necessary care, the via ferrata can be managed without any risk. Climbing enthusiasts who do not yet have any mountain experience may tackle the adventure of the via ferrata with the help of an experienced mountain guide. The via ferrata can be reached from the top station of the Eggishorn aerial cable car in approximately 15 minutes.
